Daffodil launches new spring/summer menu

As the vibrant colours of spring burst forth and the warmth of summer beckons, we at Daffodil are thrilled to unveil to Cardiff our latest culinary masterpiece – a restaurant menu meticulously crafted to celebrate the bounty of Welsh seasonal produce.

Get ready to embark on a gastronomic journey like no other, where each dish tells a story of freshness, flavour, and sustainability.

To Graze:

Embark on a culinary adventure with our grazing menu, designed to tantalise your taste buds with an array of tempting bites. Begin your journey with a selection of Alex Gooch organic sourdoughs, served with balsamic and extra virgin olive oil for a delightful start. Then, dive into the rich flavours of our Caws Cenarth black sheep cheese paired with chorizo and drizzled with Bydafau woodland honey, a harmonious blend of savoury and sweet that’s sure to leave you craving more.

Brunch:

Brunch at Daffodil is a celebration of Welsh flavours and morning delights. Indulge in the iconic Welsh classic of bacon, cockles & laverbread, featuring pan-fried smoked back bacon lardons, fresh Gower cockles and Gower seaweed laverbread, for a true taste of the coast. For those seeking a heartier option, our full Welsh breakfast boasts a generous spread of locally sourced ingredients, while our vegan full Welsh breakfast offers a plant-based twist to fill your stomach.

À La Carte:

Experience culinary excellence with our à la carte menu, showcasing the finest ingredients Wales has to offer. Start your journey with our beetroot tartare; a vibrant dish featuring finely chopped golden and red beetroot, capers, and Pantysgawn goats cheese mousse for a burst of flavour. Then, savour the delicate flavours of our baked salmon with pea and herb cous cous.

Dessert:

Indulge your sweet tooth with our divine selection of desserts, each crafted to satisfy your cravings for something truly decadent. Delight in the whimsical flavours of our popcorn cheesecake, featuring a crunchy digestive biscuit base, topped with sweet popcorn, and drizzled with Halen Môn sea salt caramel sauce. Alternatively, opt for the classic elegance of our crème brûlée, accompanied by caramelised peach and a cinnamon pecan crumb, for a tantalising finish to your meal.

Sunday Roasts:

Sundays are for gathering with loved ones and indulging in the comforting flavours of a traditional roast dinner. Choose from succulent cuts of Welsh topside beef, leg of Welsh lamb, Welsh loin of pork or a roasted half chicken with lemon, garlic and thyme. For the vegetarians or vegans amongst us, perhaps opt for the meat-free option of wild mushroom, parsnip and sage wellington, or choose the celeriac steak or Daffodil rainbow salad from out mains instead. The Philharmonic, Croeso Pubs’ premier bar and restaurant, lovingly known by Cardiffians as “The Philly”, is thrilled to announce its grand relaunch on April 25th. After a series of upgrades, the venue is ready to showcase its fresh new look and expanded offerings to guests. The refreshed and rebranded Philharmonic features five unique rooms, each with its own distinct bar, designed to cater to a variety of experiences.

Philly Bar

The ground floor bar area offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a quality lunch, a casual drink, or catching up with friends. Its cozy and inviting setting makes it a favourite spot for daytime and early evening visits.

Three Sixty

The ultimate late-night destination, boasting a vast dance floor and 360-degree bar service. Guests can indulge in pizza served until late and enjoy a bottomless brunch every day, making it a hotspot for both night owls and brunch enthusiasts.

Gold Lounge

For those seeking an exclusive experience, the Gold Lounge provides a VIP private bar area. Ideal for watching live sports, enjoying table service and VIP treatment, or hosting private functions, the Gold Lounge combines luxury and comfort.

The Atrium

Fully renovated, in partnership with Madri Excepcional, the rooftop sun terrace features an outdoor bar, comfortable bench seating, and vivid foliage. With covered heated seating, it offers a perfect retreat in any weather, allowing guests to enjoy the outdoors in comfort.

The Cwtch

Our cosy hidden lounge bar, away from the crowds of the dance floor is perfect for intimate gatherings. Whether it’s for a bottomless brunch, a relaxing drink, or a private hire function, The Cwtch provides a cozy and private setting.

The Famous Philly

The Philharmonic’s main offerings include a revamped bottomless brunch, a delectable new food menu, brand new cocktail menu, live music and late-night dancing until 3 am. As The Capital’s No.1 venue, The Philharmonic invites guests to join the reopening celebration on April 25th. Attendees will enjoy live music from our regular guest band Three O’Clock Club, complimentary cocktails and artisan pizza while exploring the refreshed venue.
